Microlino

THE IDEAL MIX BETWEEN MOTORBIKE AND CAR

The concept

Microlino is the result of a pioneering collaboration with Microlino Italia. It is the expression of innovation and dreaming in the automotive field. This revolutionary urban vehicle stands at the intersection of the efficiency of a motorbike and the practicality of a city car. Its compact dimensions are designed to fit perfectly into the urban environment, allowing parking perpendicular to the road. But what really captures the imagination is its futuristic design.

Microlino embraces the principle of “less is more,” reducing unnecessary elements and focusing on what really matters. The unique frontal door opens toward the sidewalk, providing a unique and convenient way for occupants to access the vehicle when it is cross-parked. This touch of innovation is just the beginning of an extraordinary experience.

Microlino is more than just a means of transportation. It is a city car designed for everyday life, offering everything you need. The interior features a spacious bench-seat for two people and ample trunk space for any daily needs.

Microlino fits into any parking space because it only requires 1/3 of the space of a normal car.

The design

The concept we started from in developing Microlino’s style is that of the legendary ‘Bubble car’ from the 1950s: extremely small cars with simple but iconic styling. Isetta is certainly the most famous.
Then the intention was to have these concepts projected into contemporary times, resulting in an example of retrofuturism.
The styling is typically streamline, with a teardrop shape tapering in the rear, starting wide and vertical, in the front area, where we find the door to access the interior (form follows function) which, certainly, represents the peculiarity of the design.
In general, the style is clean, the volumes are solid and polished: simplicity combined with attention to detail were the key principles that guided us in the development of the design, both exterior and interior.
The technical elements are grouped in two bands of LEDs, at the front and rear, and together with the two rocket-shaped side elements, which enclose the front lights and rear-view mirrors, they create Microlino’s iconic and highly recognizable light signature. (Robocop Inspired).
Another very important aspect was the research for Color&Trim by which the iconic aspect of the product was enhanced, giving it a vintage, contemporary or sporty mood depending on the fittings. Confirming the ductility of a no-frills line.

Designed to be sustainable

Microlino represents a revolution in the automobile, designed with a bold vision of minimizing environmental impact. This innovative vehicle requires only 65 percent less energy during both production and driving than any other car and has up to 50% fewer parts compared to standard cars. On the whole, this means less energy consumed and less maintenance required, a real step forward in terms of sustainability.

Built in Italy

But Microlino is much more than just an environmentally friendly car. It is produced in Turin, thanks to the collaboration with our partner Cecomp, a company with a history of more than 40 years in vehicle prototyping and production. The goal is ambitious: by the end of 2022, we plan to produce 3,000 examples and another 6,000 during 2023, with the goal of reaching a production of 25,000 cars per year. Demand is high, with more than 16,000 orders registered in the first few months.

The forecast is to deliver 3,000 units by the end of 2022 and an additional 6,000 during 2023. These numbers reflect the growing interest and enthusiasm Microlino has generated since its early days in the market. But our goal goes further: we aim to reach a production of 25,000 cars per year when fully operational, which demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the automotive sector.

Since its launch, Microlino has already registered more than 16,000 orders, confirming its leading role in the urban mobility revolution. Its production in Turin is a testament to our commitment to ensuring the highest quality and customer satisfaction as we move toward a future of sustainable and accessible mobility.

Performance

Microlino’s electric powertrain delivers 17 hp and 118 Nm of torque, allowing you to reach a top speed of 90 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 5 seconds. The batteries are available in three options, offering ranges from 95 km to 230 km, with charging times between 4 and 6 hours from a standard household outlet. All this in a lightweight vehicle, weighing just 435 kg, excluding batteries.

Three versions

Microlino is available in three unique versions: Urban, Dolce, and Competizione, each with its own distinctive style and fascinating details.
